Deloitte, the leading business advisory firm, in association with Irish Life Corporate Business, has announced the winners of this year’s Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme. Twenty companies which demonstrated superior business performance were recognised at an awards gala dinner in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin on 2 March 2012, where they were joined by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD as special guest speaker.
Cavanaghs of Charleville, Main Ford and Hyundai Dealers was singled out from among the winners to receive a special accolade for ‘rising to the challenge’ which was the theme of this year’s programme. This award reflects the fact that, this year, the judges placed a particular emphasis on the innovative strategies the companies are adopting to ensure their continued success. The company received a place on the IMI’s Senior Executive Programme which will equip one of its senior team with the strategic skills and leadership understanding to position both themselves and their organisation for continued success.
Brendan Jennings, Managing Partner, Deloitte and judging panel member commented: “Huge congratulations must go to all the winners of this year’s programme. The judging panel were extremely impressed with the innovative strategies that are being adopted by Irish management teams. From diversification strategies to a particular focus on foreign expansion and overseas markets, Irish companies are exploiting new and exciting opportunities to ensure growth in their companies.
“What’s more, it is really encouraging that after four years of the programme, we are now seeing a strong network of Best Managed Companies emerge. The contacts and relationships that are formed as a result of the networking opportunities that the programme facilitates have proved extremely valuable, and is a real added benefit of taking part in the programme.”
