Brembo announced an important expansion of its brake range at Automechanika Frankfurt, with the introduction of Carbon Ceramic Material (CCM) brake discs and pads. CCM products have been present as OE for many years, but have never before been available in the aftermarket.

The main advantage of CCM is a 50% weight reduction, compared to cast iron discs. This reduces the car’s unsprung weight, which in turn contributes significantly to exceptional handling. The second important advantage of Carbon Ceramic Material is that, under all conditions, it guarantees a high friction coefficient, which remains stable during braking at all speeds and in all weather conditions. Bermbo CCM materials also perform better during prolonged deceleration and offer reduced deformation. The discs also never corrode, even in contact with water or the salt solutions. This feature means that the wear resistance of Brembo CCM guarantees an approximate disc life of 150,000 km for road use and 2,000 km for extreme track use (e.g. Ferrari Challenge).

A further addition to the BREMBO range is a Sport brake disc for the Brembo Xtra family, ideal for enthusiasts who use their vehicles both for normal road use as well as sporty driving. This product directly derives from the company’s proud motorsport heritage. The specific design of the slot, found on the brake ring, enables constant cleaning of the brake pad’s surface, which improves the consistency of braking, by dissipating the generated heat and the gases released when the pads come into contact with the discs. 

Brembo also announced in Frankfurt an expansion of the Brembo Beyond Greenance Kit range, which now includes applications for passenger cars as well as LCVs. These future-oriented, Euro 7-compliant solutions, significantly reduce particle emissions (by 80%), on top of generating savings on the overall cost of vehicle ownership, without compromising performance. 

The Italian braking experts also unveiled a new presentation of it aftermarket product line-up, divided into five product families, with each designated to answer specific customer and vehicle needs: 

• Brembo Essential - The perfect line for those who are seeking a first fit approach to replacement aftermarket components, covering: brake drums, shoes, hydraulic components and remanufactured calipers.
• Brembo Prime - A premium line, tailor-made for consumers who are seeking the best fit for their car, LCV, truck or motorbike covering: brake discs, brake pads, calipers, brake fluid and additional brake accessories.
• Brembo Beyond – Offering two different ranges, the Brembo Beyond Greenance Kit and the Brembo Beyond EV Kit, dedicated to electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. 
• Brembo Xtra - The ideal choice for passionate drivers of 4 and 2 wheelers.  
• Brembo Upgrade – A high performance range for the true enthusiast.
