BMW Group Ireland has announced the appointment of John Ives to the position of Managing Director with effect from 1 September.

 
Mr Ives joins the company from BMW UK, where he has held a number of positions since 1995. His previous roles include Regional Sales Manager, Sales Development Manager and most recently he spent four and a half successful years as Sales Operations Manager for the UK. Prior to joining BMW he spent over six years with Peugeot UK. In his new role Mr Ives will lead the BMW Group's Irish sales and marketing subsidiary, as well as the network of 13 BMW, MINI and Motorrad dealerships.
 
Commenting on his new role John Ives said “…Over the coming months and years we (BMW) will launch a number of exciting new vehicles, all of which feature innovations for the ongoing reduction in fuel consumption and lower emissions. In addition we are working on business measures to improve competitiveness and profitability for our Irish dealers. I am very much looking forward to leading the team at BMW Group Ireland in order to meet the market challenges.”
