Autodata, part of Solera, the global supplier of technical information to the automotive aftermarket, has launched a brand new service, Autodata Training, which offers workshops a cost-effective way to train technicians on current and future technology.

With this all-new digital subscription service, Autodata now offers technicians hundreds of high-quality, technical training videos, which are presented by industry experts and delivered online for easy access in the workshop.

In launching this product, Autodata says it is embracing the power of digital training to deliver knowledge to technicians faster and when they need it most. It offers an effective alternative to traditional face-to-face training, which can be inconvenient to attend and expensive.

The online library of over 350 videos is expanding all the time with new content, and already covers  topics from electrical and mechanical fundamentals to advanced diagnostics procedures, as well as training on emerging technology such as plug-in hybrids, pure electric vehicles and Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS).

Jonathan Sampson, Sales & Product Director for Autodata Training said, “Autodata already has an enviable reputation for providing the most comprehensive, step-by-step technical data and instructions available today, and with the launch of this new suite of high-quality video training, technicians have access to a truly comprehensive solution at their fingertips. Technicians can get the specialist training they need, at a time that suits them. We estimate that an average workshop will keep every single technician in the working environment for an extra 4 hours every month using these video tutorials alone.”

Ken Wood, Owner of Zenith Auto Repairs, uses Autodata Training to provide their workshop training needs. He commented, “Myself and my team find this service invaluable. It’s like having access to a full-time technical trainer. No one needs to leave the workshop, yet we still get detailed, comprehensive training, packaged up in a user-friendly system. And the beauty is the technicians can revisit the training time and time again to update their knowledge. My business is so much more efficient when it comes to training my technicians because they’re in the garage and available to fix whatever comes in.”

This new Autodata Training service is currently being rolled out across most English-speaking countries, followed by further expansion across a variety of languages. For more information visit www.autodata-training.com
