GM has approved the use of Sikkens and Lesonal products from AkzoNobel Car Refinishes, for the coming year for GM warranty repair work around the globe.

The approval renews an existing relationship covering selected Sikkens and Lesonal systems and extends it to two new products in 2010.  “We’re delighted to receive this endorsement from General Motors,” said Stefan Wieditz, Director R&D, AkzoNobel Car Refinishes OEM Technology. “We’re especially pleased to get approval for Sikkens Autoclear Superior 250 and Sikkens Colorbuild Plus – two low VOC products that epitomize our commitment to deliver ‘Tomorrow’s Answers Today’.”

Sikkens Autoclear Superior 250 is a state-of-the-art clearcoat designed to be used together with Sikkens Autowave, AkzoNobel’s waterborne basecoat.
