20 Minutes was all that the proud owner of a newly bought Lamborghini Huracan Spyder got behind the wheel of the supercar before it was written off. Thought to have cost over €200,000, that works out at €10,000 per minute.

West Yorkshire Police in the UK reported the incident on the M1 motorway. The unnamed driver had only just collected the luxury car and was in the third lane of the motorway when it reportedly suffered a mechanical failure and stopped. It was inevitably hit from behind by a van, with the driver suffering a head injury which is not believed to be serious.

The Lamborghini is likely to be a complete write off after possibly the most expensive 20 minutes of motoring ever.
