TOYOTA reveals three hot Yaris models at Tokyo show

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing has revealed for the first time, three new sporty Yaris models at the three-day Tokyo Auto Salon 2025. 


Among the new innovations and concepts on display were: 

GR YARIS (NÜR 24h) – Versions of this car will compete in the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race later this year. The model is equipped with the newly developed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission. 

GR YARIS M Concept – This will compete in the in the Super Taikyu Series. The car features an underdevelopment, midship-mounted, 2.0-litre, inline 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine, which is joint venture with Mazda and Subaru. Many believe the transverse configuration is designed to act as a testing ground for a new MR2 sized sports car. 

GR YARIS Aero Package (prototype) – This a concept vehicle equipped with performance aerodynamic parts that have been developed together with professional drivers through an uncompromising approach to achieving targeted performance. Parts include an adjustable rear wing, a vented bonnet, and new vents for the front and rear bumpers. These will be available for sale.
