Bodyshop Solutions specialist Symach has launched a new marketing campaign which highlights its unique FixLine process for vehicle body repair.

The campaign focuses on the results that have been achieved by a recently insalled FixLine installation in Italy, Ambra Car Service in Brescia. This shop has been using the FixLine process for less than a year and has in that time seen its labour cost reduce by 9%, average key to key time drop to 2.4 days and throughput move from 38 units per week to 60.

FixLine can achieve these impressive results by offering a totally new design and repair process which reduces vehicle movements between the various repair stages and utilises a semi-automatic line. Symach designers say that the majority of high throughput bodyshops still have a single repair process design which is suitable for more extensive damage but not tuned to the more common 1 to 3 panel jobs which now represent nearly 85% of total repairs.  FixLine uses three different repair and layout processes, based on the number of panels to be repaired. In this manner, the system is capable of optimising repair times and reducing labour costs by as much as four or five hours for each repair.
