Automotive lighting and vehicle technology specialists OSRAM and Ring Automotive have launched an eSports event to tie in with the final round of the 2022 British Rally Championship.

The OSRAM and Ring Rally is hosted virtually on Codemasters’ leading 2019 rally title, DiRT Rally 2.0, challenging players with eight stages on the in-game Wales event, while crews prepare for the real-life Cambrian Rally, the last round of this year’s national championship.

Players across Xbox, Playstation and PC platforms are invited to log on to Codemasters’ DiRT Rally 2.0 clubs site and register for the event, which starts a week ahead of the Cambrian Rally, and finishes within hours of the real event crowning its winners.

OSRAM and Ring’s first ever eSports event offers players the chance to win some OSRAM Night Breaker 200 headlights, Ring’s award-winning MAGflex inspection lights, plus battery care equipment and tyre inflators.

The event starts in-game on Friday 21st October at 4pm, with the deadline to complete the rally a week later on Saturday 29th October, the same day as action concludes at the north Wales-based Cambrian Rally.

Henry added, “The virtual rally is a great opportunity for players to dig deep, put pedal to the metal and take home some great OSRAM and Ring prizes.” 

Entry to the event is free with players only needing a compatible PC or console, including Xbox One, Series S or Series X, Playstation 4 or 5, plus an up-to-date copy of DiRT Rally 2.0 and a Codemasters RaceNet account.
