Denoxtronic, the Bosch exhaust-gas treatment system is now being used in the majority of diesel vehicles. The system injects the Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), commonly known as AdBlue, into the exhaust-gas stream. In combination with the catalytic converter, the system converts harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into water and nitrogen.

The latest Denoxtronic system, for cars and light commercials, is the 5 series generation. This generation typically consists of a supply module which is attached to the DEF tank via a plastic welding process which fuses the tank and the supply module into one unit. In the aftermarket, for many repair cases, it is no longer required to replace the complete DEF tank and supply pump combination.

Bosch offers an affordable aftermarket solution consisting of a supply pump, dampers and mounting screws in the form of a kit.

With Denoxtronic  5, the supply module is located under the DEF tank, this is where the pump can be replaced separately. The supply module brings DEF to the required pressure and feeds it to the dosing module. It contains the tank heater for thawing of the DEF if necessary.

The supply pump is located inside the supply module. The complete kit solution, available from Bosch, conveniently includes all the parts necessary for a successful supply pump replacement.

Identifying the correct replacement kit cannot be done by finding a number on the original OEM DEF tank assembly. Instead, the Bosch supply pump kit part number can be identified, using the vehicle model information in TecDoc or other selected electronic cataloging systems. The supply pump kit can be found by searching in the catalogue categories Exhaust Systems and/or Urea Injection.

These Bosch replacement kits offer an affordable alternative to complete DEF tank replacement in case of only a supply pump failure. They also provide a plug-and-play solution for quick and easy replacement.  Depending on the repair needed, technicians have the option to use only the fitting kit F01C899002. The fitting kit consists of the screws and dampers only.
