World-leading OE rotating machines manufacturer DENSO, has expanded its aftermarket range with the introduction of Stop-Start Starters to its OE quality starters and alternators programme.

The new DENSO Starters and Alternators Catalogue 2012/13 (Ref: DESA12-0001), includes DENSO's first replacement Stop-Start Starter for Volkswagen as well as references suitable for BMW applications. The comprehensive new catalogues also features 12 new starter applications and 20 new alternator applications, including alternators for the BMW 1 and 3 series. New starter applications include; Audi A3, Seat Altea/Altea XL, Skoda Roomster 1.2 TDI and VW Sharan, Caddy and Touareg. The new Stop-Start Starter is for Volkswagen Bluemotion 1.2TSI. Overall the expanding programme now includes 230 starter and alternator part references for 3,287 key vehicle applications.

Unlike many other brands, DENSO's aftermarket starters and alternators are completely new-in-box and not re-manufactured.  This means there is no core surcharge, reduced administration, better availability and competitive pricing.

"We have been expanding and renewing our range continually in recent years, including even more part numbers for modern, fuel efficient car models," said Paul Payne, DENSO Aftermarket Sales Manager. He added, "We receive more distributor enquiries about starters and alternators each year than almost any product; and we expect demand for stop-start systems to grow quickly as fuel economy requirements and CO2 emissions regulations become more stringent."

DENSO has developed great expertise in the rapidly expanding Stop-Start sector over recent years and is at the forefront of this technology. It's latest design innovation separately controls the forward shift of the pinion gear and the motor rotation, to ensure an even quicker restart.

DENSO Aftermarket products are available from stockists nationwide. To find out more log on to www.denso-am.co.uk You can also follow DENSO on Twitter @densopartsuk
