MEYLE had a large 400 m² stand spread over two levels at Automechanika, which was needed to cope with a constant flow of visitors and the many new innovations on display.

Attracting lots of interest was the new improved control arm for the Tesla Model Y and Model 3. A first in the aftermarket, MEYLE developed the upgraded suspension solution after drivers of the Tesla models reported hearing irritating squeaking sounds. A sturdy control arm body made from high-strength, forged aluminium improves rigidity and reduces weight compared to the original, which is made from a combination of steel and plastic. Optimised with the finite element method (FEM), the design also ensures high safety reserves with a low net weight. The ball joint design also improves service life.

Other highlights at the MEYLE stand included, the expansion of the portfolio for high-voltage vehicles and electric mobility and the company’s first climate-neutral product line of MEYLE HD steering and suspension parts.

On the stand staff and visitors could also celebrate the anniversary of 20 years of MEYLE HD manufacturing and engineering expertise. The MEYLE ABS sensor repair kit and the MEYLE PD cabin air filter were also recognised as nominees in the Parts & Technology Solutions category of the Automechanika Innovation Awards.
