A major focus on the Schaeffler stand at Automechanika was the complete engine systems solution now on offer from its INA brand.

Schaeffler says that under its INA brand it has now brought together its original equipment cross-system engine expertise for the automotive aftermarket. The product portfolio includes engine components for:  Timing drive, including belt and chain systems, Front End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD), Valve train and Cooling. Each of these key systems is covered by a comprehensive range of both individual components and complete replacement kits which include all necessary ancillary components required for a professional repair. The whole portfolio is also supported by expert technical information, including full fitting guides and videos on the Schaeffler REPXPERT online portal.

Schaeffler is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of OE timing drive components to both vehicle producers and the independent aftermarket. INA has consistently delivered a comprehensive range of chain and belt drive system components, as well as complete KIT and KIT+ repair solutions in line with market needs and changing technology.  The INA chain drive range includes; Chain drive component KITs, Timing chains, Tensioning and guide rails, Hydraulic and mechanical chain tensioners, Sprocket wheels and Seals.

INA also offers an advanced range of Timing Belt KITs to ensure a simple, efficient and professional replacement. In addition to belts, tensioners, deflection and guide pulleys, kits also offer everything needed for a repair, right down to the last nut and bolt and all in proven INA OEM quality. Many kits are also available with water pumps.

Added to this INA also supplies a comprehensive range of Front End Auxiliary Drive components. Each INA FEAD KIT is engine and application specific and includes every relevant component needed for a complete repair in the box. Individual parts are also available.

INA is also the world’s leading producer of valve train components and offers a comprehensive portfolio of intelligent aftermarket valve train repair solutions, including both hydraulic and electric variable camshaft timers and valves used to adjust the timing, increasing efficiency. Bucket tappets, finger followers and swing arms are also in the range, as well as rocker arms and rocker arm bridges. INA camshaft KITs and KITs with variable camshaft timers have also recently been added to the product portfolio.

Completing the circle, are INA cooling systems. INA has developed a ‘cooling on demand’ system to intelligently control engine heat flow using a Thermal Management Module (TMM). The TMM is designed and produced by Schaeffler for original fitment, and is distributed to the aftermarket exclusively by INA.  The TMM uses sensor controlled rotary vanes to precisely regulate the temperature balance throughout the powertrain. This means that an optimal temperature can be reached quickly in up to three additional controlled circuits, such as the gearbox, engine oil and the turbocharger. The TMM is literally a ‘bolt-on’ cooling system repair solution including an integrated water pump which comes with all of the ancillary components required. It has so far been originally fitted to more than 1.5 million Volkswagen Audi Group vehicles.

INA also offers a market leading range of mechanical, switchable and electric water pumps.
