Spies Hecker has launched a new additive for optimum blending-in results in extreme climatic conditions.  Permahyd Hi-TEC Blend-in Additive 1051 allows refinishers to achieve efficiency when using Permahyd Hi-TEC 480 waterborne basecoat in the spraybooth, even in less than optimum conditions.

Daniel Hartland, Brand Marketing Coordinator for Spies Hecker says, “The new Permahyd Hi-TEC Blend-in Additive 1051 allows flexibility in the application window. It creates a very smooth and even fade-out zone even in low relative humidity and at 30°C or more.”

The new product is applied undiluted to the transition zone bordering the original paintwork and the Permahyd Hi-TEC waterborne basecoat is blended straight into the wet film. The additive is particularly suited to large surfaces.

Hartland says the new introduction is part of an ongoing process that sees Spies Hecker constantly refining its products to give modern bodyshops even better support. He comments, “We adapt application parameters of Permahyd Hi-TEC 480 to our customers’ needs so they can achieve optimum results in nearly every conceivable climatic condition.”
