Brake Engineering has marked its 40th anniversary by inviting all staff at its Wrexham-based site to a Covid-safe event, celebrating the support, hard work and dedication of staff over the past four decades.

Started in 1981 by John Willis, the Brake Engineering brand has always had a reputation for doing things a little differently with a multi-discipline in manufacturing, remanufacturing and distribution.

Paul Davies, Senior Operations Manager, greeted the team, who gathered safely on the site premises, before giving a speech thanking each and every one of the workforce for their service throughout the past 40 years, outlining how integral they have been to the brand’s continued success. A celebratory hog roast and refreshments was then prepared, as staff were invited to relax and enjoy the celebrations over lunch.

Now employing over 200 people at its Wrexham based factory, the brand is synonymous with helping to grow the local economy and creating jobs for the local community.

In its 40th year, the brand also reached a milestone, producing its 8 millionth caliper, highlighting the continued commitment and hard work of its team.

Paul Davies commented, “The Brake Engineering brand has continued to evolve and adapt over the past 40 years, and meet any challenges head on, and we have always developed our offering to continue to meet market demand and offer excellent quality. This is testament to our fantastic team of hardworking professionals, and we once again thank them all for their unwavering support.”

He added, “Thanks to our continued investment in research and development, enabling the brand to successfully refine its processes, we are highly regarded as a brand for quality. Motor factors and independent garages embrace Brake Engineering to its fullest, holding it very close to their hearts and championing the work we all put in to making this brand the very best. We’re proud to be a thriving part of the local economy and will continue to celebrate UK manufacturing and fly the flag for Wrexham as we head into 2022.”
