Bosch Training specialists MKW Motors say they still have some limited availability on its Electronic Diesel Control Systems (VSD 12) course which takes place on June 18th & 19th at the MKW Training School in Baldonnel.
The two day course provides essential background to the fundamentals of all electronically controlled diesel systems. The course is designed to provide service and diagnostic technicians with the knowledge and techniques to work on diesel engines and their fuel injection systems. The design and operating principles of a diesel engine are explained. The role and influence of the fuel injection system, induction and exhaust systems, sensor and actuators are all presented in a clear format. Along with the theory, trainees will also be assigned relevant supporting practical tasks. These will involve the use of the Bosch ESItronic information system and also diagnostic tools including the KTS, an oscilloscope and Bosch Diesel Set 1; for analysis of the hydraulic system.
Completion of courses VSE 1and VSTD 9 is a prerequisite to attending VSD 12.. Delegates should be familiar with typical oscilloscope and diagnostic tester operation and should have attended the appropriate equipment operator’s courses.
