Mitsubishi is to freeze the introduction of new models to the European market at the end of the current cycle of models.

Concentrating on other markets all new models in the pipeline will not be offered for sale in Europe once the current crop are concluded. It means that new models of the Eclipse and Outlander will not be for sale here in Ireland either.  A statement from a company spokesperson said that it would continue to sell the cars currently offered until such a time that they no longer comply with European regulations.

Existing 8-year warranties will remain, however, future residual values will, no doubt, be effected by the company’s withdrawal from the market..

Current models will continue to be sold in Ireland and Mitsubishi will continue to look after existing and future customer for aftersales and servicing through their Irish dealer network.
