Keeping a busy motorway clear is a tough enough job, but imagine if every recovery you did was under the glare of the media spotlight and watched by millions on TV. You might be a little nervous, and you would probably want to make sure all your recovery equipment was in excellent working order. These are the type of unique conditions that a new fleet of Hino recovery vehicles will have to operate under, as the official tow trucks at the famous Indianapolis Speedway race circuit. The trucks will be used at events at the Speedway throughout this, its centenary year.


 
The vehicles on standby and ready for action at the circuit are a Hino 268 conventional chassis with Jerr-Dan(R) Aluminium Cougar HPL 6000 wrecker body and Hino 258LP model conventional chassis with Jerr-Dan Premium 6-ton carrier body.
