Following recent submissions to the Oireachtas Transport Committee in relation to the regularisation of the Irish windscreen industry, Mr Windscreen, Ireland’s largest owned Independent network has issued a statement.

 
Mr Windscreen confidently assures our customers, motorists, the general public, insurance companies, brokers and the Road Safety Authority that only the safest processes, products and procedures are used in windscreen replacements and repairs carried out by Mr Windscreen technicians.

Mr Windscreen supports the efforts of the Oireachtas Transport Committee to regulate the windscreen industry and welcomes any initiatives to improve standards.

Mr Windscreen has 32 depots nationwide, 90 mobile units and employs 150 people within the group. We have direct billing facilities with Irelands leading insurance providers. 

Priority is given to doing the job right first time, looking after the needs of our customers and consistently delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

Our IT web based E-see system logs all jobs for audit trail and can be tracked from the beginning to the end.

Our two main glass suppliers are industry leaders and meet and surpass the legally required standards for quality and safety.

We at Mr Windscreen are especially proud of the unique skills pool and years of experience shared by our fully trained fitters, administrative staff and owner managers.

Formal training, as well as technical know-how in the correct use of products is carried out nationwide at depot level by Sika, who supply primers, activators and polyurethanes, which are OEM approved bonding materials.

Windscreen Repair training is on-going for fitters and carried out by Esprit for Mr Windscreen at their Manchester training centre.

Mr Windscreen depots are fully compliant with industry specific Health and Safety standards.
