Is it a car? Is it a plane? No it is actually an eVTOL from Alef Aeronautics, a car that can fly. Unlike many, so called, flying cars, this one appears to be serious, with pre-orders already taken for over eight hundred.

The eVTOL may look like a futuristic sports car, but under a body that allows air to flow through it, the vehicle has propellers that mean it can take off and land vertically.

The company recently received a Special Airworthiness Certificate the Federal Aviation Administration that will allow the eVTOL to carry out test flights.

Alefsa say that the design of the vehicle means it can go anywhere a normal car can. The electric model has a claimed range of 322km on the road or 117km in the air. The company says the first eVTOL should be delivered in 2025.
