Connolly’s Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Centre, Sligo has been awarded Volkswagen Commercial Retailer of the Year 2015 at the recent Volkswagen Gold Pin Awards. The award, which celebrates excellence within the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Retail network, recognises retailers contribution in a number of areas including sales performance, local market share and overall customer experience and is the highest honour that a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle retailer can achieve.

The award was presented to Neil Connolly, Retailer Principal of Connolly’s Sligo, by Alan Bateson, Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland, at a gala awards ceremony held in the Dunloe Hotel in Kerry.

Commenting on the award, Neil Connolly said, he was delighted to achieve such an accolade: “Winning retailer of the year for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is a great honour. The competition is very tough as the retailer network is operated by progressive and professional businesses that are constantly looking for ways to improve their business and their customer focus. It is always nice to win as it gives the whole team a real lift and recognises the team effort put in by all.”

Congratulating the team at Connolly’s, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Director Alan Bateson said, “2015 has seen continued growth in Ireland for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Ireland with strong results delivered through the recovering Irish economy, our vans are proving more popular than ever, not just because of their unmatched quality and comfort, but also because of our leading residuals and the Customer-first service support provided from our dedicated Van Centre network in Ireland. 2015 was also a great year for Connolly’s Sligo and I would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and determination, the great news is that we have carried this strong performance and phenomenal momentum into 2016 and we are on track for a record year for the brand in Ireland.”
