The VRA (Vehicle Repairers Association) recently held a meeting for Midland’s body repairers in Athlone. The meeting was attended by bodyshop operators from Longford, Offaly, Roscommon and Westmeath as well as attracting some attendees from further counties.

VRA representatives made an informative presentation on what the organisation has managed to achieve in the relatively brief time it has been established and on its plans for the future. There then followed an open discussion on issues of concern faced by repairers in the Midlands area and how these could be overcome with the help and support of an effective representative body for repairers. The meeting concluded with the forming of VRA branches for each area.

The meeting is part of a rolling programme to make the VRA a nationwide organisation. Further meetings will be held in other regional locations in the coming weeks.
