Toyota tops for green car
Share:

The UK Environmental Transport Association has named its Green Car of the year 2008. The award goes to a Toyota, but not (as you might expect) for the Prius. Although the hybrid car fared well in the competition coming in third, the accolade of the most environmentally friendly car went to the Toyota Yaris. The supermini beat 1,300 other models to take the title, with the Honda Civic hybrid as runner up and the Prius, Renault Modus and Citroen C1 making up the top five.

The least environmentally friendly car on the road was found to be the Dodge SRT-10 sports car followed closely by the Lamborghini Murcielago and the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorani. You can see a full list of green and not so green cars at www.eta.co.uk
