A UK survey of dealer attitudes towards franchises has once again placed Audi as the most valuable franchise for a dealer to have, with Toyota in second place. However, the big surprise in the summer 2009 NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey was that dealers rated Kia as the third most valuable brand, ahead of the likes of BMW, Lexus and Volkswagen.
Toyota came out on top slightly ahead of Kia in dealer’s profitability ratings, with Toyota also rated as the marque likely to be most profitable in the future. The survey also found that dealer-manufacturer relationships had improved over the passed year, as they work more closely together to overcome tough market conditions.
