SsangYong Motors Ireland have lent their support to the Focus Ireland Four Peaks Challenge 2014.

The Korean car brand donated a courtesy vehicle for the duration of the event which saw more than 300 people climb the highest peak in each of the four provinces of Ireland on the weekend of June 6th - June 8th.

Last year, over €200,000 was raised by the event and since then the ongoing impact of the recession has seen an increase in demand for Focus Ireland’s services. Forty five teams of friends, family members and colleagues are taking part this year as well as a number of individuals.

Commented Joe Harris, CEO SsangYong Motors Ireland, “We are delighted to lend our seven seater Rodius to this worthy fundraising cause which will help a growing number of people who have found themselves come into hard times..”

The peaks climbed were Carrantoughill, Co Kerry, Mweelrea Mountain in Co. Mayo, Slieve Donard  in Co.Down and Lugnaquilla, Co. Wicklow.
