Spies Hecker has immortalised the work of refinishers who deeply love their profession and who put their heart and soul into their most beautiful projects in its new 2018 calendar themed “For the love of the job”. The images, which were taken by German photographer Ramon Wink, show lovingly-crafted refinish and restoration projects, from a 1962 Cadillac ambulance to a fiery red Harley-Davidson.

Unusual classics, such as the 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood Commercial Superior Royal Rescuer are rarely seen on the road, but it graces the January page of the new Spies Hecker calendar. This lovingly restored specimen from the golden Cadillac era gleams in a strong signal red with a white roof, classic whitewall tyres and the famous chrome front grille. Its owner found the car in the USA in the 1980s and brought it to Europe. It took another five years to restore it to its current appearance.

There are eleven other striking images in the calendar all showing project where the Spies Hecker paint system has been put to outstanding use.

Joachim Hinz, Spies Hecker Brand Manager  says, “The large format photos for the 2018 calendar show what outstanding results can be achieved when refinishers are completely passionate about their job.”

Joachim explains that the process to produce the 2019 calendar is already underway and is calling on all bodyshops to submit their entries. Anyone interested should send photos of their work and bodyshop, as well as information on their refinish project, to karsten.juers@axaltacs.com.

The twelve calendar pages of the new 2018 Spies Hecker Calendar “For the love of the job” can be found on www.spieshecker.co.uk/calendar2018. The calendar can be ordered from the Spies Hecker web shop, www.spiesheckerwebshop.co.uk, in the literature/poster section. Colour Club Advance members will automatically receive their free calendar as part of their colour programme update.
