Shaftec has declared its first visit to ReMaTec, Europe’s leading remanufacturing exhibition, a major success, both in terms of reinforcing its market position and in generating a great deal of interest in its abilities as a remanufacturer capable of servicing the European market.

Tom Curtis, Shaftec Director said, “We spoke to a lot of people, potential customers and core dealers and they were all very impressed. The Shaftec brand is growing rapidly and there’s a great deal of confidence in it. I think our early move towards EPS, excellent engineering capabilities and stringent testing process, together with a warranty offer as new and the fact that our operation is carried out under one roof at our UK facility, were all major contributors to the interest. He added, “With our skills and expertise, there’s no reason why we can’t fulfil the needs of a wider European market.”

Shaftec chose ReMaTec’s 10th anniversary exhibition as a platform to highlight its position as a leading remanufacturer of braking, steering and transmission automotive parts. ReMaTec is Europe’s biggest remanufacturing trade show and took place at the RAI in Amsterdam attracting more than 3000 visitors.

Advances in technology increasingly widen the scope of components and systems suitable for remanufacture, as shown in the clear industry shift towards mechatronic components. Demand increases the scale. Sales of Shaftec branded remanufactured Electric Power Steering (EPS) products were up 30 percent this June compared to last clearly illustrate this.

Marc Wise, Shaftec Export Sales Manager explains: “Remanufacturing is the way forward for those who want to hold a broad range of product. At Shaftec we offer a variety of parts from fast moving to niche references and by keeping a close eye on build costs, we’re able to remain competitive and confident we’re providing a quality product. We remanufacture OE core to offer performance as the VM intended, offer guaranteed re-engineering expertise and adhere to stringent testing procedures.”
