Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel has announced he will retire from Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season.

 

Vettel made his debut in 2007 and went on to win four world championships in a row for Red Bull between 2010 and 2013. Back then he was the youngest title winner in the sport of Formula 1 and has won a total of 53 Grand Prix making him the third most successful driver of all time.
 

Now 35 Vettel, known as ‘The Finger’ because of his one-finger salute also spent six years with Ferrari and will finish he career with his current employers, Aston Martin and will sign off in Abu Dhabi ate the end of the season.
 

Vettel said ahead of the Hungaring Grand Prix "At the end of the year I want to take some more time to reflect on what I will focus on next; it is very clear to me that, being a father, I want to spend more time with my family."
