The commitment of Schaeffler to providing excellent coverage and quality on Asian origin vehicles has been demonstrated with awards by three vehicle makers.

The company received the ‘Certificate of Achievement in Quality Performance 2012’ from Toyota in Japan for being a supplier which fulfils the very highest standards in terms of quality and delivery. Meanwhile in China, Schaeffler was presented with Nissan’s ‘Excellent Quality Supplier Award’ and was also named as ‘Excellent Supplier 2012’ by Volkswagen Automotive Shanghai.

Wolfgang Dangel, member of the Executive Board Automotive of Schaeffler AG, said: “We are well positioned in Asia and these awards show that our customers are satisfied with our top performance.”

Schaeffler’s business activities in the Asia Pacific region are managed from its headquarters in Shanghai, which was established in 2007. The Schaeffler Group has subsidiaries in China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and India, which all provide full support throughout the region. Thirteen production sites provide direct support for the automotive and Industrial divisions while ten regional development centres support Schaeffler’s Asian customers.

This high level of activity in the Asian region reflects close relationships with Asian car manufacturers, something which has a very positive influence on the Schaeffler aftermarket range.
