MS Motorservice International GmbH has been awarded the title of Premier Data Supplier (PDS), which represents the highest possible quality standard in the TecDoc catalogue. The spare parts specialist has fulfilled the strict criteria for all of its brands: Kolbenschmidt, Pierburg, BF, TRW Engine Components, turbo by Intec and RBI, and in doing so has proven the “excellent data maintenance” of around 30,000 item data records.

The TecDoc catalogue is the world’s leading spare part catalogue for the automotive aftermarket. Dealers and workshops use the catalogue to order their spare parts, using the product data provided by the manufacturers to make their purchasing decisions. It is important for them to be able to compare the relevant products quickly and reliably and to be able to rely on the accuracy of the product features. All of this is only possible if the data in the catalogue is optimally maintained. For this reason, TecAlliance has introduced certifications as a way of ensuring quality.

Following the completion of the current certification round in July, Motorservice has been certified as the highest standard that can be achieved for maintaining its product data, “Premier Data Supplier”. 

“We can be proud of this achievement. However, this doesn’t mean that we can now sit back and relax. Our ultimate goal is to keep this data up to date at all times. With more than ten million data records, this will take a significant amount of time and resources, but we are happy to do this for our customers”, said Peter Schulz, Head of Data Management at Motorservice. 

The data maintained includes content such as; item attributes, OE cross references, media assets, item links and much more.
