Tomorrow morning at 9.23am is the most dangerous time to drive of any right over the festive season according to a new study. Drivers who over-indulged at their Christmas party are the main cause for concern with many setting out early before the effects of the night before have worn off to beat the Christmas rush.

This was one of the findings of research commissioned by Honda and AlcoSense Personal Breathalysers, which examined the attitudes of UK motorist about drink driving. A quarter of the people surveyed attending parties said they would have six or more alcoholic drinks at their party and this is enough to make driving the next morning unsafe. However, a quarter of these people also said they planned to be on the road before 10am on Saturday.

People aged from 25 and 34 were found to be most likely to get behind the wheel the morning after the night before, and one in five of these said they would still drive even if they suspected they were over the legal limit.
