Auto accessory company, Ring, has picked up two driver nominated awards for its jump starter and another for its tyre inflator, showcasing the company’s prime position in the accessories market.

Ring’s ULTRABOOST 1500 has been crowned the best jump starter for performance in the jump starter test by WhatCar? with the tester stating that, “The Ring is a really nice unit with a quality feel. It states 1500A of peak output, which is impressive for a relatively small battery, and the second highest number of start episodes is impressive. The tester also said it provide a great combination of performance, price and quality.

Launched last year, the ULTRABOOST 1500 (RJS030) is Ring’s most advanced jump starter and is capable of jump starting vehicles with up to 6L petrol and 3L diesel engines, which means it’s suitable for most 12V cars, vans, SUVs and LCVs. Included in the jump starter is the ULTRABOOST button, which when pressed delivers enough power to start completely flat batteries, as low as 0.7 of a volt. It also has Ringtelligence technology for safer vehicle maintenance, with the design of the clamps offering reverse polarity, anti-spike and short circuit protection.

The company also won the WhatCar? best tyre inflator with the RTC2000. The tester stated, “The Ring inflator instantly feels good quality and well made, and I like that the hose and the adaptors are retained within the body. It performed well and filled three car tyres from flat, which is impressive. Being the cheapest here is an added bonus.”

The RTC2000 is ideal for cars, motorbikes, bikes, scooters and other inflatables and can top up a car tyre in under three minutes and a bike tyre from flat in under two minutes. It has a digital autostop feature that automatically stops the inflation process once the desired pressure is reached, meaning the user doesn't need to worry about over inflation.

Marketing Director, Henry Bisson, commented, “We’re humbled with the multiple awards from WhatCar?. It’s a renowned platform that has a lot of readers looking to it to get the latest advice, so being in the tests, let alone winning categories, is a huge endorsement of our products.”

Ring products are available from stockists nationwide.
