Renowned lighting specialists, OSRAM and Ring, enjoyed a highly successful Automechanika Birmingham show recently, with a packed programme that included the launch of a host of new products to the market.

Both brands shared an impressive stand, with an extensive display of their products. Original equipment manufacturer, OSRAM, revealed its launch into the accessories market with its new ranges of torches, inspection lamps and solar chargers, while Ring introduced its innovative new ULTRAINFLATE series of tyre inflators. These new products sat alongside the staples of both businesses, including lighting, battery care, workshop tools and tyre care ranges.

Experts from both Ring and OSRAM were on hand throughout the show to discuss products, offer advice and expertise and perform product demonstrations.

As well as exhibiting, the companies were also involved in other activities around the show. On the Wednesday night, OSRAM and Ring were the sponsor of the Content Creator Award at the IAAF Garage Awards on the 4th June, which recognises talented automotive content creators making a mark in the sector, who execute smart and original content that elevates the aftermarket and garage industry. The Content Creator Award was won by Marvelous Lara, with Louise Baker picking up the Highly Commended award.

Then on day three of the show Bulb Product Manager, Carl Harrison, and Marketing Director, Henry Bisson, hosted a seminar in the Workshop Hub area to present and discuss the issues around poor quality bulbs in the aftermarket.

Terri Clark, Marketing Manager at OSRAM, said, “Automechanika Birmingham was a big one for us this year with so many new product ranges to introduce to the market, which were all well received. There was such a buzz around our stand for the entire three days, we had a press conference on Tuesday afternoon to present our new products to the press, as well as constant activity from visitors on our stand who wanted to see all of the products we offer. It really was an incredible event for us!”

Henry Bisson, Marketing Director at Ring, commented, “We had a fantastic time at Automechanika Birmingham this year, we had new products to launch, as well as hosting a seminar on Thursday around ‘Shining a light on poor bulb quality’, which was well attended.”
