TMD Friction has successfully achieved the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Accreditation, offering businesses and industry personnel globally recognised approved training for the Independent Aftermarket.

Following an extensive approval process, which comprises application, quality assurances and ongoing monitoring, TMD Friction will be able to train and audit both workshop and individuals on its brake relining module as its first approved training accreditation, as it continues to raise standards within the automotive industry.

TMD Friction offers expansive and in-depth quality training programs across passenger car and commercial vehicle sectors and all training from the company includes final assessments.

Scott Irwin MIMI, Head of Technical Training at TMD Friction IAM, said, “This is fantastic news for TMD Friction. Becoming an official industry-recognised approved training centre is a great acknowledgement of TMD Friction’s learning and development programmes. We’re delighted that our training will be delivered with quality assurance, installing confidence to individuals and businesses throughout the automotive sector.”

Sören Kristensen, Vice President Global Marketing & Communication at TMD Friction IAM, added, “Training and skills development is at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to adding this new accreditation across a wider range of TMD Friction training modules and learning outcomes.”

IMI is the professional skills body for people in the automotive industry. Its purpose is to provide, and continuously evolve, the means by which people working in the automotive sector can attain relevant professional competence and appropriate recognition.
