PPG 'Makes Ireland greener'

PPG have introduced an innovative new surface primer made from recycled plastics. DP3000 is the first ever refinish product to incorporate recycled PET plastic flakes as a raw material and it's now available in Ireland, meaning bodyshops can become greener without compromising on performance or quality of repair.

The development of DP3000 is closely aligned with wider OEM targets for increasing the percentage of recycled material used in car manufacture. It will also help bodyshops to demonstrate their own commitment to sustainability. Providing a perfect ‘right first time’ repair to any OEM finish, DP3000 is quick and easy to apply with good sag resistance, resulting in a smooth film finish. The easy-to-sand properties minimise the amount of sanding that is required thus further boosting efficiency.

DP3000 is mild and non aggressive on sensitive OEM substrates, providing a high quality finish and is available in three greymatic shades with a dedicated hardener.

Danni Aiken, UK and Ireland Marketing Communication Managers comments “Using PPG Enviro Primer Surfacer will allow bodyshops in Ireland to demonstrate their individual commitment to protecting the natural environment, without compromising on performance or quality of repair.”

DP3000 is the first of a number of new environmentally friendly product innovations currently being developed by PPG. For more information on theses products as they are introduced and further details of the new PPG Enviro Primer Surfacer please visit www.ppgrefinish.com.
