PPG has announced the launch of D8199 DELTRON Vivid Red Special Concentrate to enable accident repair centres to produce an accurate match to the newly introduced Ford ‘Ruby Red’ Special Metallic Body Colour.

This new concentrate has been manufactured using the latest developments in colour technology and contains a special pigment that gives the best possible refinish match to the clean candy apple red colour from Ford.

The Ruby Red colour which was recently launched on the new Ford Mondeo, was jointly developed by PPG Industries Automotive Business and the Ford Motor Company. Through maximising synergies and utilising expertise from its OEM business the PPG Automotive Refinish business has been able to launch D8199 Deltron Vivid Red Special Concentrate which gives bodyshops an accurate match to the OEM standard. The new Ruby Red Special Metallic Body Colour now appears in new Ford promotional material, so the colour is expected to be in demand meaning bodyshops are likely to have to repair cars finished in it. 

The Vivid Red Special Concentrate from PPG is suitable for use over both ENVIROBASE High Performance and Deltron basecoat ranges.
