The OSRAM stand was a hub of activity at Automechanika 2022 with visitors keen to see the latest innovation from the lighting and equipment solutions provider. In addition to LED, xenon and halogen products, a range of battery charging and battery testing devices designed especially for automotive professionals was on show for the first time.

One of the highlights was also a live demonstration of how to install a NIGHT BREAKER H4 LED, the first street-legal H4-LED retrofit lamp from ams OSRAM.

“We want to help make the driving experience safer. This year’s Automechanika is a great opportunity for ams OSRAM to reveal our new overall product approach. By providing classic LED technologies coupled with high-quality end-user and automotive service shop products, we offer even better solution packages designed to further extend our market and innovation leadership,” said Hans-Joachim Schwabe, Executive Vice President & General Manager Business Unit Automotive in the Lamps & Systems segment at ams OSRAM.

In the traditional field of halogen and xenon lamps, ams OSRAM showed its updated and new NIGHT BREAKER family. Delivering light that is up to 220% brighter, the XENARC NIGHT BREAKER LASER is now the brightest ams OSRAM xenon light and comes with a three-year guarantee. NIGHT BREAKER SILVER, now in optimised packaging, offers high light intensity and long service life.

In addition to its traditional lighting portfolio, the stand featured on vehicle maintenance innovations such as the TYREinflate 6000 and BATTERYstart 360 OBSL360. The TYREinflate 6000 is a rechargeable tyre inflater and air pump in one, making it ideal for anyone on the move, especially campers. The lithium BATTERYstart 360 starter gets engines going again in only about 60 seconds. It can be used on 12V vehicles with petrol engines up to 6L and diesel engines up to 3 and is so compact that it will fit in a glove box.

Also on show was the new ACE (Automotive Care & Equipment) PRO range of battery charging and testing equipment. This equipment is particularly robust and reliable, capable of withstanding intensive use in automotive service shops.
