If you are reading this article over a cup of coffee as you wait for the next potential customer to step into your car sales showroom, then prepare yourself for a bit of bad news. Dating website IllicitEncounters.com has carried out a survey of 3,000 subscribers and named car sales as the least sexy of all professions. Less than 1% of respondents found car salesmen a turn-on, compared to 27% who were attracted to pilots, who topped the pole.

Although the survey is firmly tongue in cheek, it does highlight a continuing problem in car sales, in that many potential female buyers still find the attitude of car salesmen very patronising.
