Nicole Drought from Roscrea, Co Tipperary has been selected as the Dunlop Young Racing Driver of the Month for September. The 21 year-old, in her first full season of racing, recorded a series of good results during the year in the Touring class of the Irish Touring Car Championship at the wheel of her Honda Accord.

The highlight of her year was her first podium finish, at Bishopscourt in May. She will probably campaign the same car again in 2016, although she would like to try some other classes, and would love to drive a single seater racing car at some stage in her career.

Nicole is sponsored by Owain Drought Car Sales and TEE Safety Solutions. She is currently studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Limerick, and works part-time at weekends in Junction 23, near Moneygall. Having been selected as the sixth and final Dunlop Driver of the Month for the 2015 season, Nicole is now a contender for the prestigious Dunlop Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year Award and the historic Sexton Trophy. This award is presented annually and is supported by Dunlop, the Irish Sports Council and Motorsport Ireland.
