M-Sport Ford World Rally Team’s Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen, whose EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC cars are fitted with NGK spark plugs and NTK Lambda sensors, enjoyed a strong points finish at the RallyRACC Catalunya – Rally de España, the only mixed-surface event in FIA World Rally Championship.

Starting well, Evans showed his pace on gravel and was never more than 10-15 seconds adrift of the lead before a misfire cost him 30 seconds through Friday’s closing stage. The Welshman had another good start the next day on tarmac and eventually moved up to secure sixth position. Losing time through the gravel stages, Suninen, from Finland, came into his own on the tarmac eventually finishing in seventh place.
