Auto Cloud Tech has introduced a new counter registration look-up system that it says produces the highest degree of accuracy in parts identification and has the potential to hugely reduce product returns for any motor factor business.

The system is the result of extensive development and field trials and uses a unique algorithm which was specially developed by ACT that cross references multiple sources to identify the right part for a vehicle repair without giving several options.

Derek Burke of Auto Cloud Tech says, "We were very aware that with existing reg look-up systems used by most factors a search would return 3 or 4 parts options in some cases. This often meant that the factor had to send out multiple parts and then deal with the issue of returns.” He adds, "With our unique system we can instantly cross reference Tec Doc, vehicle manufacturer information, and parts supplier on-line catalogues to arrive at the right part first time, every time.”

As Derek points out not only can this system have a huge impact on the level of sales returns in a factor, often running at 25% +, but can also save both the factor and the garage a huge amount of time.

The system can also be made available by factors to their garage customers via a trade login for very efficient online ordering.
