Cromax has introduced a new zinc chromate-free primer surface, PS1600A 1K Sandthrough Sealer. It has been specially developed for application under Cromax waterborne basecoat technologies and for use over small sand through areas on bare metals including steel, aluminium and galvanised steel. It can also be used on sanded OEM and sanded cured repair finishes.

It is designed specifically for refinishers already in the spray booth who notice a small area, like an edge, which has been sanded down to the metal. Rather than use a wash-primer and filler, which can take a while to dry, refinishers only need to shake the aerosol can, to spray one or two coats of PS1600A 1K Sandthrough Sealer over the affected area, allowing it to flash-off, and let it dry for 10 minutes at 20oC. PS1600A 1K Sandthrough Sealer comes in a handy 400ml aerosol spray can and offers an extremely good corrosion resistance. Thanks to its neutral medium grey colour, the product ensures minimum discolouration to Cromax Basecoat.
