Kia has issued a major recall on its Caren, Carnival, Sportage, and Sorento models due to a brake light switch malfunction.

This means that in certain circumstances the brakes lights are not illuminating when the brake pedal is depressed, or lights stay on after braking. The company is replacing the switch free of charge.
