MAHLE Aftermarket was placing special emphasis on its CareMetix cabin filter range at Automechanika Birmingham, with six new filters introduced. On the stand there was also a unique demonstration of how the advanced filters can eliminate nasty odours.

New filters added to the already extensive range are:
  • LAO 73/S  BMW 5 series
  • LX2624  Ford Focus / Transit Connect
  • LAO 81  Mercedes A Class / Vaneo
  • LAO 117  Fait and Opel applications
  • LAO 74  Opel Zafira
  • LAO 138 Citroen C2, C3, C4, DS4, Peugeot 1007, 307
CareMetix cabin filters feature five layers specially designed to improve passenger health and wellbeing by removing nasty odours and harmful contaminants from vehicle cabins.

Odours entering the cabin often derive from pungent ammonia and sulphur gases, but specific layers within the CareMetix filter remove these uninvited scents leaving the cabin fresh. Garages can offer customers a tangible difference as the innovative range provides five-layer protection against allergens, brake dust, diesel soot, fine particulates and tyre debris that is proven to enter a car from exhaust fumes. MAHLE say not only do the filters provide exceptional protection for passengers, but the cutting-edge technology also preserves the sensitive components in the HVAC system from premature wear.
