MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square has announced the continuation of its partnership with premium automotive oil, additive and car care manufacturer, LIQUI MOLY.

In extending their close relationship, LIQUI MOLY will continue to support the MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square team with their new pair of Ford Focus STs due to be driven by Jake Hill and Ollie Jackson in the upcoming 2021 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship campaign. As part of the partnership, LIQUI MOLY will work closely with MB Motorsport’s engine partner Mountune.

The 2020 season saw the partnership enjoy much success with a plethora of podium finishes for the team’s outgoing Honda Civic Type R FK2, along with an Independent victory at the penultimate round of the season at Snetterton.

Commenting on the extension, Mark Blundell, Sporting Director of MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square, said, “It’s fantastic news all round to have LIQUI MOLY continuing on this journey with us. Their products and support were instrumental to our success last year and, with new facilities and machinery behind us, we very much look forward to building on that together this season.”

Tim Keller of LIQUI MOLY also shares in the excitement of forging a strengthened partnership with MB Motorsport. He said, “LIQUI MOLY looks back to a long history in motorsport, especially in touring car racing. In the past in the WTCC, today in the TCR and WTCR. We were very glad to help power MB Motorsport’s success in 2020 and this year marks a new chapter for them with the Ford Focus ST and Mountune. We look forward to building on these existing relationships and forging new ones.”
