Mechanics in the north and west of Ireland will be given a unique opportunity to talk and learn from many of the automotive aftermarket’s leading technical experts and benefit from their unique inside knowledge at a series of roadshows in November.

The events have been organised by MechanExpert, the online information and training resource and will be the first of their kind in Ireland. They will feature many leading component manufacturers, but rather than just a static exhibition display, each of the companies will provide a technical team to carry out live product displays and answer technical questions from mechanics and garage owners that attend. The aim is to help independent garages improve their knowledge and skills and provide them with the confidence to tackle ever more complex repairs on modern vehicles. This is definitely not a normal sales oriented trade event, but rather one that can provide unique and highly valuable technical information delivered by leading experts in their field.

Some of the experts in attendance will be:
Andrew Vaux, Technical Support and Training Specialist, Gates, focusing on Synchronous Drive Belt Systems (SBDS) and Auxiliary Belt Drive Systems (ABDS) maintenance and diagnostics.

Peter Dancer, Buisness development Manager, Lesjöfors, focusing on the latest technical developments in the field coil springs, gas springs, and leaf springs.

Vitor Pimenta, Training Manager, COMMA Lubricants, looking at the vital importance of correct oil specification and developing lubricant business opportunities for garages.

Brian Jones and David Curtis Area Managers, MANN+HUMMEL looking at the importance of original quality in filtration products and the potentially serious issue raised by fitting poor quality filters.

Stephen Moore, KYB, providing information on shock absorber and coil spring fitting procedures and how to improve efficiency and offer a high quality service.

Matthew Mawson, Technical Field Support, APEC Brakes looking and technical issues in relation to brake component replacement.

Nigel Mepham, Sales Manager Andy Walters, Technical Trainer Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket. Drawing on their vast experience the team will be able to provide up to the minute technical insights in the fields of clutch replacement, wheel bearings and drive systems.

Mark Banks, Diagnostic Development Engineer, Bosch, focusing on the latest developments in vehicle diagnostics and providing an insight into future vehicle technologies.
