Laser Tools has introduced a new set of super-slim glow plug sockets for those occasions where glow plugs need to be replaced but access is difficult.

Laser says that sometimes it can be difficult to actually see a glow plug that needs to be worked on let alone get room to use a normal socket. Glow plugs can be in hidden recesses of the cylinder head area and surrounded by metalwork and other components.

Laser Tools new compact, super-slim glow plug sockets (part number 6741) are specially designed to allow access in the tightest areas. Three sizes are included in the set, 8mm, 9mm and 10mm. All fitted with a universal joint, they are 1/4" drive to keep the size down and enable the use of slim, 1/4" drive extension bars. They are a deep socket design, to fit snugly over the glow plug, and the narrow diameter and universal joint really lets a technician get into these inaccessible areas of the engine bay.

The new sockets are now available from Laser stockists.
