Effective signage and presentation is often a key element in business success and one company that has gone from strength to strength delivering services in this field is Dublin based custom sign and design company Artisan. It has worked with a number of leading names in the motor industry, with projects including the signage and branding of the Applegreen service station network. The company has also forged a strong link in a supply sense with another familiar automotive industry name, Vinny Byrne Ltd.

Vinny Byrne supplies Artisan with the Bernardo Ecenarro paint system, a highly flexible modular finish that is also used by many companies with great success on cars and trucks. Painter Pavel Jankowski says, “With the Bernardo system it is like having your own mini paint factory. It gives us the flexibility to produce any colour in just about any type of finish on wood, metal, plastic, glass or anything else we need to paint.” This is well illustrated by one recent project, which saw Artisan produce and paint a giant GAA gold medal, which now sits proudly on display at Croke Park.

As a company working to strict ISO standards, Artisan have found that the product quality of the Bernardo system is always 100%, while the flexibility of the product allows for a great degree of creativity. Director Art Mooney says, “We deal with many leading architects and design agencies and genuinely find that the huge range of finishes we can offer gives us a real edge in this sector.” He adds, “We also find that the technical back-up we receive from Vinny Byrne on the product is excellent, with their staff able to work closely with ours in developing new types of finish for specific customers.”
