Alistair Fisher and Gordon Noble put in a storming finish to grab victory in the Wastewater Solutions Circuit of Ireland Rally on Easter weekend.

Driving their VW Polo GTi R5 they completed the event 11.6 second ahead of Josh Moffett and Andy Hayes (Hyundai i20 R5) with Callum Devine and Shane Byrne finishing third.

The two crews went head-to-head and matched time right throughout Saturday but it was Desi Henry who led after day 1. His demise on Sunday and the scrapping of bogey times meant the there was just 0.2 seconds separating Moffett and Fisher with one stage remaining. Fisher had been closing in on Moffett on the previous three tests and set a blistering pace on the last stage to clinch the win and add the Fisher to the winners list that his uncle Bertie won on three occasions.

Moffett still leads the Irish Tarmac Championship on 48 points with Fisher now second on 35 points. Callum Devine lies in third on 24 points.
