Parts specialist Blue Print has highlighted a quick, easy and cost effective way to prevent noise from disc and drum brakes. Blue Print Ceramic Paste is a high performance lubricant with a multitude of uses, which the company says makes it a must-have for all workshops.

The ceramic paste, (Part No. ADG05534) is white, metal-free, and anti-seize making it perfect for preventing noises which can occur with disc and drum brakes. It can also be used for all types of high-load sliding surfaces, especially low slide speeds, oscillating movements and for screw, plug-in and bayonet connectors made from steel and non-ferrous metals. It can also be used for the separation of components that are subject to heat stress, such as engines and brake systems.

Its metal-free formulation means it is suitable for all aluminium and cast iron brake calipers. It is resistant to hot and cold water and most acids and bases and has a useable temperature range of -30°C to +1,400°C. This means it is perfectly suited for separation and as corrosion protection for threads, bolts, pins, etc. that are exposed to high temperatures.

The product comes in a 100g tube and is available from Blue Print stockists.
